About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly autonomous VP of Product to lead the strategy and execution for our entire product portfolio (B2B, B2C, and B2B2C). This highly strategic leadership role will be crucial in defining our product vision, fostering a culture of rapid iteration and velocity, and ensuring our products deliver exceptional value to our customers and drive the company’s growth. You will own the core product management function, working cross-functionally across Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Marketing.
What you'll do:
- Define and own the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with HouseCanary’s overall business goals.
- Lead and mentor the Product Management team, fostering a high-performance culture that emphasizes velocity, experimentation, and customer obsession.
- Spearhead the adoption of an iterative approach to product management that encourages velocity, utilizing rapid prototyping and short feedback loops.
- Act as an expert in product-led growth, designing product experiences and feature sets that drive organic user acquisition, activation, and retention.
- Demonstrate high technical aptitude by collaborating closely with Engineering and Data Science leaders to make critical architectural, technical, and platform decisions.
- Be a strategic thinker by deeply understanding market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to identify new product opportunities and positioning.
- Balance Enterprise client needs with product strategy to ensure the platform meets the demands of our largest, most strategic customers while maintaining product vision and scalability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
- Establish and monitor key product performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure goals are being met
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of successfully scaling a B2B, B2C, or B2B2C SaaS product.
- Demonstrated expertise in product leadership, including managing product managers and defining organizational structure.
- Deep expertise in product-led growth (PLG) strategies and execution.
- Proven strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex market insights into a clear, actionable product roadmap.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Engineering, Data Science, Sales) at the executive level.
- Strong evidence of implementing an iterative approach to product management that encourages velocity and continuous delivery.
- High technical aptitude, comfortable engaging in detailed technical discussions and decision-making regarding architecture and data pipelines.
- Experience balancing Enterprise client needs with product strategy in a scaling technology environment.
Bonus Skills:
- Prior experience in a data or analytics company.
- Experience in the real estate industry (proptech or fintech).
- Knowledge of cloud-based architecture.
Compensation and benefits are extremely market competitive. We are fully remote in the US, so we all work from the comfort of our own homes across the US. The base salary range is $175,000-$275,000 DOE and location. This position is also eligible for equity and a discretionary bonus. As for benefits, we pay 100% of the healthcare premiums for our employees AND their dependents, unaccrued paid time off, and we offer a very robust benefits package!
